Buwan ng Wika

Agosto, ang buwan ng wika..

When I learned that Pia was one of the 30 contestant in the poem recital,

I was more nervous than her!

I don't know how would she memorize a 3 stanza long Tagalog poem in less 

than a week!

Pia is "bulol" in tagalog, especially when words are more than 2 syllables! 

 Sabi nga ng tito nya: "Sa tagalog bulol, pero pakantahin mo ng "Call me 

maybe" indi bulol!" :)

23rd August 2012, the day of the elimination round.  From 30 nursery student, 

they will only pick 10 to qualify to the final round..

And the poem recital begin!

Pia was number 9 to recite..  I was more nervous than her! 

When it was her turn, it was so funny, because one of her best buddy 

escorted her up the stage!

My little girl was only able to recite 1 and 1/2 stanza of the poem, 

I don't know if it was stage fright that she mentally blocked out or was 

distracted by the sight of her classmates running and playing down the stage.

For obvious reason, she was not part of the 10 finalist! :(

But mom is still proud of her little princess!  As what Sister Perla said: "lahat 

sila magaling, ung tapang na lang na umakyat ng stage mag isa is already an 

achievement!"

True enough! it was really an achievement!
